Tanoh Kpassagnon – The Awesome African

Tanoh Kpassagnon - Kansas City Chiefs

Tanoh is a professional football player for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. He is a first generation African. His mom was born in Uganda and his dad in the Ivory Coast. He grew up traveling and living in a couple of different places before settling down outside of Philadelphia in a small town called Ambler. He went to middle and high school there before earning a scholarship to play at Villanova University close by. He graduated from Villanova with a finance and accounting degree, and went on to be a 2nd round draft pick in the 2017 draft by the Kansas City Chiefs (59 overall). Off the field, Tanoh is hoping to make a difference in the countries he is originally from. He has visited both Uganda and the Ivory Coast numerous times and has seen the suffering of his people there. He wants to help the less fortunate by being a role model and a beacon of hope.

We had the chance to get to know him a little better.
