Are you Ready for Some Football!! Today is the day every NFL fan has been waiting for. After a long off-season and one of the most dramatic drafts in NFL history, the season is finally here! Peyton Manning may have ridden off into the sunset following his Super Bowl victory last year, but we are more than ready for a Broncos vs. Panthers rematch to kick off 2016. With last year’s MVP, Cam Newton, back alongside a healthy Kelvin Benjamin, the Panthers will pose a fascinating matchup against the dangerous Denver defense in the Mile High City. But let’s not forget about the others. With rest of the NFL teams beginning this weekend as well, we’ve assembled a list of players who could turn heads in Week 1.
Jamaal Charles is in for a huge bounce-back year. After tearing his ACL for the second time in his career last season, Charles has been working hard to be ready for the start of the 2016 season. Not only is he an inspiration on the field, but off it he is active in the Special Olympics, where he was a participant growing up. Through the Special Olympics, Charles discovered and nurtured the very Character that has made him an NFL superstar today.
Von Miller, ultimate sackmaster and Super Bowl champion, is back in action this Thursday as the NFL kicks off its 2016 season in style. A terror on the field, Miller is also a personality you don’t want to miss. From TV commercials, to dances, to Unique fashion styles, Miller has you covered. His talent is out of this world, but his theatrical sack celebrations are reason enough to tune in tonight.
Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are out for revenge this season. After a devastating loss in Super Bowl 50, Cam is in for a record setting season with his favorite target Kelvin Benjamin back in the lineup. There are few who get the better of Newton in football, and the same may well be said for karate and water polo. Either way, we look forward to watching Cam and his Panthers Dab all over the competition this year.
After two injury prone seasons, Victor Cruz is poised to make an impact this year for the New York Giants. Cruz has played sparingly in the preseason, but the Giants are still taking it slow with him. With his down time, Cruz has made an impact off the field through his charity, the Victor Cruz Foundation, by helping the Boys and Girls Club that he grew up a part of.
Watch out for Demarco Murray and the Titans this season. After DeMarco’s messy season-long visit in Philadelphia, he has found himself a new home in Nashville, Tennessee. With a young quarterback in Marcus Mariota and an offensive line that can create gaps, Demarco is in for a comeback year. The Titans should be a competitive force in the AFC South with the experienced Murray and former Heisman winner Derek Henry in the backfield. DeMarco also showed off his Skill and Character by hosting a football camp this summer to benefit the DeMarco Murray Foundation.
